Over the past two years, Method has quietly become the connective layer for more than 60 million consumers, powering some of the most iconic fintech brands behind the scenes — including SoFi, Credit Karma, Sezzle, Aven, and Robinhood.
With Method, consumers can instantly share their complete financial footprint, credit cards, loans, KYC, PII, and more, using nothing more than their name, phone number, and consent, all seamlessly embedded within the customer experience. This capability gives companies instant, reliable access to financial data at scale, empowering users to unlock better financial opportunities and enabling a new generation of trusted, data-driven products.
As our partners have reimagined what’s possible across lending, digital wallets, personal finance, rewards, and agentic commerce, it became clear: Method’s original onboarding flow couldn’t keep up with the breadth of use cases being built. The power of our network had outgrown the UI we started with.
Introducing Opal
Meet Opal - Method’s new embeddable UI, designed to bring the full power of Method’s connectivity into a seamless, branded, and modular experience.

Opal combines everything our partners love about Method — instant authentication, identity verification, and data connectivity — and wraps them in a continuous, brand-native interface. It adapts to any design system, integrates in minutes, and scales across use cases from lending to personal finance all the way to agentic commerce.
How it works: A single token with infinite possibilities
We built Opal’s modular architecture so it could adapt to any product vision. The platform offers four core components that work independently or together.
Identity verification to authenticate users
Account connection to link credit cards and liability accounts
Account verification to confirm ownership
Transaction linking to access spending data
Each of the four modules integrates seamlessly into any design system, delivering exactly the functionality each use case demands. Here’s how a few of our partners are leveraging Opal today:
Method x Sezzle
Sezzle is using Opal to allow users to link their wallet at checkout, eliminating the need for manual credit card entry and reducing chargeback volume through account verification.
Method x Ditch
Ditch customers onboard to their platform with Opal, connecting all of their liability accounts with a single interaction, fast-tracking the user through the onboarding process for a smoother and more complete customer experience.
Method x Aven
Aven users can now link transaction data from their credit cards to their Advisor account, powering visibility into their spending categories for better visibility into their financial habits.
Optimized for trust, speed, and scale
With Opal, speed goes beyond your time to market. Method’s financial network is the largest in the country, covering more than 85% of all credit-bearing Americans. This allows consumers to share their most sensitive financial information in seconds.
Opal is powered by Method’s robust proprietary security and authentication technology, ensuring that every user’s information is verified using the most up-to-date technology and data across telecommunications, credit bureaus, issuers and card networks.
The future of financial connectivity
Opal represents the next evolution of Method’s mission: to make connecting financial accounts instant, secure, and effortless.
It’s how the world’s most ambitious fintechs are building the next generation of financial experiences — from onboarding and underwriting to commerce and engagement.
Opal is now available in early access.
